As we bring this holiday mental health blog series to an end, I want to take a moment to close out with something special – a prayer for your mind and well-being. As we’ve seen, the holiday season can bring both joy and challenges so I think its important to just pray for peace, strength and mental clarity as we move forward and also as we head into a new year.
So, stay with me as we take this time to pray together:
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being the God of peace. Thank you for being our Savior, Redeemer and Healer. Thank you for being the one we can cast our anxieties, concerns and cares on. Thank you for being a present help in times of trouble. Thank you for being a comforting presence and our source of strength.
Today Lord, I pray for the person who is reading this. Thank you for caring for their minds. Their mental wellbeing is important to you. You really do care about their mental space and you desire for them to have clarity and peace of mind so God I pray that you give them just that. May they see that you truly care about what goes on in their minds and with their emotions and that you are someone they can look to for help.
Many times, isolation may feel comforting and the thought that nobody understands or cares may envelope them but I pray, as they read this prayer, that they will feel seen and heard. I pray that persons around them – loved ones, coworkers, friends, family, church family – will recognize their need for loving support and reach out to them. I ask that you will minister to their hearts and minds through the people around them and, in the quietness, they will listen for you.
Lord help them to not give into the desire to give up permanently. I pray that for anyone who is thinking to call it quits on life, they will give it one more chance. And they will give you a chance. Please protect their minds Lord. May they think on good, lovely, pure, noble and trustworthy things. Whatever lies anxiety, depression or any other mental health issue may be telling them, I pray that they choose to look to you for truth today.
Give the person reading this a renewed sense of peace this holiday season, going into 2025. I pray that they will be supported mentally and that they will have a renewed sense of hope. May they experience joy today! Joy that only you can bring. Do it for them Lord. And thank you for being our loving God.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
All the very best this holiday season and I pray you thrive and blossom in 2025. Remember: your mental health matters so be kind to your mind!
Cheers!

Amen
Renewed sense of peace Lord
Amen! " I ask that you will minister to their hearts and minds through the people around them"
